A unique challenge-based fundraiser honoring our veterans with every bite.

The Balut for Bravery Challenge was our first veterans-focused fundraiser, launched in April 2024. This unique initiative combined Filipino tradition with a commitment to supporting those who served our country.
For every $1,000 milestone reached, founder Kaid Collins would eat a balut (a traditional Filipino delicacy) live for all followers to see. At $2,000, a brave volunteer would join the challenge, doubling the fun and impact.
The twist? If anyone didn't finish the entire egg, they committed to donating an additional $1,000!
Rooted in Filipino tradition, balut represents a rite of passage - a symbol of courage and adventure. These qualities resonate deeply with the spirit of our veterans. It was a nod to Kaid's heritage and a promise to face challenges head-on, all while keeping a "stone face" with no reactions allowed.
A Texas-based nonprofit with a clear mission: "At Operation Finally Home, we provide homes and home modifications to America's military Heroes and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and values."
The original beneficiary, Home of the Brave Veterans Transitional Housing, dissolved during the campaign due to the founder's personal circumstances. After careful consideration, we redirected all proceeds to Operation Finally Home to ensure your generous contributions would make a meaningful difference.
Plus 19 more generous donors who made this campaign possible.
